As we try to rethink the way we lived, some new ideas pop up from time to time.  The other day Eddie decided to put to good use the wood from pallets that were around.  He built a rough stool.  It can also be an end table.  The point is that it only took the existing wood, a few nails and the time it took to cut and assemble it together.  The result is a rustic stool that looks very organic and can be used in many ways.
It would be perfect in a country or primitive decor, or even in a cabin.  The project took about an hour and a half, counting the time he took dismantling the pallets.  Material is all around you waiting for ingenuity to appear.

Here are some pictures of this project.

The top can be covered with pieces of wood around as moldings to hide the wood showing; however, we like this feature, as the piece has a more organic and rough appeal.
